Asian Gambling: Pearls of the Orient
Gambling in Asia has been legalized lately, causing some countries to open up businesses associated with casino and gambling for added revenue. There are resorts and establishments which were opened for tourism and revenue purposes and even though some parts of Asia have not totally embraced the gambling industry, it is now starting to show some positive signs.
One good example is in Cambodia where the Ho Wah Genting Poipet Casino Resort is located. It is tagged as the Las Vegas of the East and many casino games are offered in this resort. This casino-resort offers many of the popular casino games such as blackjack, mini baccarat, b6 baccarat, casino wars and others.
In India there is a place called Goa where six casinos reside. Five out of the six casinos are exclusively offering slots and nothing more. In Hong Kong, the casinos are usually built in either a port or as casino gambling cruises, giving the experience more appeal and uniqueness.

In the Philippines, since gambling was legalized, there are about 15 casinos owned and operated by the Philippine government. The Fontana Resort is one of them, which is exclusively for foreign tourists in this country.

The legalization process is quite slow in this region due to many ethical and political reasons. However, there is no telling when the entire region will offer gambling as a staple, so the whole world would just have to wait.
